The team at Jaboulet has worked wonders with recent vintages of this cuvée. The 2018 Cote Rotie Domaine des Pierrelles looks as if it could be even better than the 2017, no small feat. Licorice and blueberries mark the nose, while the full-bodied palate folds in raspberries and baking spices (20% new oak is used for the elevage). Silky and plush, this finishes with tremendous vitality and length. Joe Czerwinski, Robert Parker Wine Advocate
