The 2018 Balhannah Vineyard Shiraz is, so far, the most saturated and concentrated Shiraz of the lineup. In the mouth, the fruit is laden with plum, poached rhubarb, mulberry, pomegranate molasses and roast beetroot, and the tannins that encase it are savory and spicy—and a touch sticky. This features cloves, malt, star anise, etc. This is a wonderful vintage. It has ripe vibes without overripe indicators. 14% alcohol, sealed under screw cap. Erin Larkin, Robert Parker Wine Advocate
