The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon S.L.V. features perfumed aromas of violets and cassis. It's medium to full-bodied on the palate, nicely elegant while being powerful and sturdy at the same time. No, it's not made in a modern, blockbuster style, but it's true to its heritage, with subtle herb shadings and a long, silky finish. Joe Czerwinski, Robert Parker Wine Advocate
This is a fine set of new releases from Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars and winemaker Marcus Notaro. I think I might have been more impressed with the 2020s than the 2019s, given how few wines were made from Stag’s Leap in 2020. In addition to these wines, I also tasted the 2021s from barrel. Those wines are shaping up to be gorgeous. I noted better integration of oak – always a sign of balance – vis-à-vis the 2019s, even though the 2021s are two years younger. Antonio Galloni, Vinous
