The 2015 Pian delle Vigne Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Vignaferrovia from Antinori is a dark, rich and large-scaled effort. Ripe plum and black cherry fruits are somewhat overwhelmed by notes of mocha, tobacco and buttercream. It’s soft and silky in the mouth, showing sweet inner herbal tones, licorice and dark chocolate.
