A blend of Syrah, Mourvèdre, Grenache, Carignan, Cinsaut, Tinta Barocca and Pinotage from 12 vineyards across four sub-regions – Paardeberg, Kasteelberg, Malmesbury and Piquetberg. Hand-sorted grapes fermented naturally in 3,300-litre open concrete vats with an additional three-week maceration. Pressed in a traditional basket press, then aged for 12 months in tight-grain French oak barrels (10% new) on the lees, followed by 12 months in large foudres on fine lees.
