Disgorged in May 2022, Philipponnat's 2014 Extra-Brut Rosé Premier Cru 1522 wafts from the glass with aromas of peaches and other sweet stone fruits mingled with hints of tangerine, buttery pastry and spices. Medium to full-bodied, bright and tensile, it's still tightly wound after its recent disgorgement, with a coiled mid-palate that I suspect will unfurl to offer charming, demonstrative drinking.
