The newly released NV Brut Rosé Royale Réserve is based on the 2018 vintage and was disgorged early this year. Bursting with aromas of red apple, freshly baked bread, mint and petals, it's medium to full-bodied, fleshy and gourmand, with a generous core of fruit, a pillowy mousse and a chalky finish. Philipponnat opted to use less red still wine than usual in the blend, given the power and intensity of color evident in 2018. William Kelley, Robert Parker Wine Advocate
The NV Brut Rosé Royale Réserve is a rich, vinous Champagne. There’s quite a bit of textural resonance and creaminess at play here. Crushed red berry fruit, spice, rose petal and mint are all nicely amplified in this midweight yet generous, inviting Rosé Champagne. The 18% still Pinot comes through in the wine’s breadth. The current release is 73% Pinot Noir, 24% Chardonnay and 3% Pinot Meunier, based on 2018. Dosage is 9 grams per liter. Disgorged: March, 2022. Antonio Galloni, Vinous
